Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona has been urgently rushed to hospital and has been forced to sleep in a corridor as she awaits a bed in the busy facility
Kerry Katona has disclosed that she’s been taken to hospital as an emergency. Posting a video on her Instagram Stories, the former Atomic Kitten singer confessed she’d been in hospital since the previous morning.
The 44-year-old uploaded a clip to social media explaining that the hospital was at capacity, leaving her waiting for a proper bed. Speaking in a tired voice, Kerry explained: “Hi guys it’s 2.10 in the morning and I have been in hospital since yesterday – yesterday morning.”
She proceeded to display an intravenous cannula inserted in her arm before sweeping the camera around to reveal nurses nearby as she remained positioned in the hospital corridor.
“It’s very full so unfortunately, I’m on a bed in the hall.”
She continued: “I have something called colitis – something to do with my bowel. So it’s been s**t – excuse the pun. I haven’t slept since yesterday, the day before. I’m in the right place.”
The NHS describes ulcerative colitis as a chronic condition causing inflammation in the colon and rectum. Common symptoms include frequent bowel movements, abdominal discomfort and persistent diarrhoea.
Previously, Kerry had opened up about battling another undisclosed health concern. Last August, she disclosed that her wellbeing had deteriorated following her separation from fiancé Ryan Mahoney.
The couple had parted ways twelve months prior, reports the Mirror.
