EastEnders actress Lacey Turner celebrated her son Trilby’s fifth birthday with an emotional Instagram post

EastEnders star Lacey Turner has offered fans a touching glimpse into her personal life following her departure from the beloved BBC One drama.

The 37 year old actress bid farewell to Albert Square in October when her character Stacey Slater left Walford behind for Brazil, taking her two youngest children, Arthur and Hope, with her for a fresh start.

Stacey’s exit storyline saw her struggling to cope with the devastating loss of Martin Fowler (James Bye), who tragically perished in The Queen Vic explosion back in February 2025.

However, Lacey’s departure from the soap appears to be temporary, with an EastEnders spokesperson confirming at the time: “We can confirm that Lacey will be off-screen later this year.

“But there is plenty more drama to come beforehand, and we will look forward to planning Stacey’s return when Lacey decides the time is right.”, reports OK!.

During her break from the soap, Lacey delighted followers on Tuesday by marking her son Trilby’s birthday.

The actress shares three children – Dusty, Trilby and Gipsy – with her husband Matt Kay.

Taking to Instagram via her children’s dedicated account, thekayoskids, Lacey wrote: “5 years old today! Happy birthday Trilby Chops #happy #happybirthday #birthday #celebrate #love.”

Fans were quick to share their well-wishes in the comments, with one writing: “Happy birthday little man! Hope he had a fab day xx” whilst another added: “Aww great video Happy Birthday Trilby xx”.

Another commented: “How is baby trilby 5? ! What a gorgeous little guy he is… huge love to you all xxx” whilst a different user chimed in: “Happiest of birthdays young man have a fab day xx.”

Meanwhile, Lacey penned her own heartfelt tribute on Instagram, declaring: “FIVE. Happy birthday mate!

“Every year you get funnier , your moves get better and you get more handsome ! Never change my darling ! We love you to the moon and back a million times ! Forever and ever XOXOXO.”

Fans were quick to respond, with one writing: “How is he 5? ! Such a gorgeous little guy… have a lovely day our favourite fam! ! We can’t bloomin’ wait to see you all soon xxx”, whilst another gushed: “Ahh he looks a lot like you x” and someone else chipped in: “Happy birthday little one have a magical day.”
