The FBI have released new photos as they look for TV presenter Savannah Guthrie’s missing 84-year-old mother as the Today star issues several public pleas for her safe return

The FBI has unveiled photos in the ongoing search for Savannah Guthrie’s missing mother. The hunt is underway for 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, as her famous daughter repeatedly appeals to the public for her safe return.
The newly released images show a figure close to a camera at Nancy’s Tucson home just hours before to her disappearance. FBI director Kash Patel shared on X/Twitter on 10 February: “Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors – including the removal of recording devices.”
“The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems. Working with our partners, as of this morning, law enforcement has uncovered these previously inaccessible new images showing an armed individual appearing to have tampered with the camera at Nancy Guthrie’s front door the morning of her disappearance.”
Nancy’s daughter Savannah, who is best known for her work with Today and NBC News, shared the photos on her own social media platforms. She declared to her 1.7 million followers: “We believe she is still alive. Bring her home,” reports the Mirror.
The broadcaster has been leveraging her social media following to rally support for her mother’s safe return and recently issued a heartfelt plea. Savannah asked for assistance from anyone capable of providing it: “I wanted to share my thoughts as we enter into another week in this nightmare. Thank you so much for the prayers and the love we have felt, my sister and brother and I.”
“And that our mom has felt. She was taken and we don’t know where… We need your help. No matter where you are, even if you are from Tucson… We are at an hour of desperation.”
“Because we believe that somehow, some way, she is feeling these prayers, and that God is lifting her in this moment and in this darkest place. We need your help, law enforcement is working round the clock tirelessly to try to find you.”
“So I’m coming on to ask nor just for your prayers. If you see anything or hear anything that seems strange you, that you report it to law enforcement, we are at an hour of desperation and we need your help.”
