Jesy Nelson’s ex-fiancé Zion Foster has opened up about hiding difficult truths from the singer in the final months of their relationship
Jesy Nelson’s former fiancé Zion Foster has revealed a heart-breaking truth he kept hidden from the pop star throughout her recent pregnancy.
The pair, who have since split, welcomed twin daughters Ocean Jade and Story Monroe in May 2025, after Jesy had endured pregnancy complications – including twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS).
During the final weeks before delivery, the 34-year-old vocalist was under hospital observation with Zion supporting her, though he stepped away one afternoon to see his mum.
In a candid conversation with his mother Maria featured in Jesy’s new documentary, the London native revealed his true emotions about his former partner’s pregnancy journey.
“It’s stressful,” he confessed, before explaining how he’d been masking his anxieties to keep Jesy composed, despite feeling overwhelmed himself, reports the Mirror.
He shared: “My role with Jess is to always be strong. But I feel the pressure, I feel the tension.
“When I’m not with you [his mum] I would never feel like this, I would never tell Jess I feel stressed because of how that would make her feel.”
His mother Maria stepped in with words of comfort, telling him: “Just take it easy, remain positive like I’ve always said to you and Jesy. You must remain positive and just have the faith that everything is okay.”
Zion’s approach to shielding Jesy from his worries appears to have worked, as the former Little Mix star speaks fondly of him throughout the documentary series.
“The reason I’m surviving this is because I’m with Zion, who is my home. I don’t really know how to explain it other than I just feel safe,” she reveals in one touching moment.

Like Jesy, Zion grew up in a single-parent home, and the pair were committed to providing their little ones with a stable family foundation.
Earlier this month, Jesy revealed that she and Zion had called time on their four-year romance. The pair initially crossed paths through mutual friends in 2022 and became engaged in September 2025.
This followed their twin daughters receiving a diagnosis of SMA Type 1, a devastating condition that leads to muscle deterioration. The pressure of their babies’ medical struggles eventually drove the couple apart.
However, the pair seem utterly besotted in Jesy’s documentary, Life After Little Mix, which was shot throughout the past year.
Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix is available to stream exclusively on Prime Video.
