EXCLUSIVE: Celebrity Big Brother star Chantelle Houghton has teased a new romance this Valentine’s Day with a mystery man, revealing she’s seeing someone who isn’t in the public eye

Celebrity Big Brother legend Chantelle Houghton has revealed she’ll be spending Valentine’s Day with a mystery new man – and says she “couldn’t be happier”.

When asked about her plans for the most romantic day of the year during an exclusive chat with Daily Star in collaboration with Betway, the 42-year-old revealed: “I’m seeing someone, but I’m not saying much more than that. I’m very happy, he’s not in the public eye, and I’m sure it’ll be a lovely celebration!”

The reality star has kept her love life largely out of the spotlight in recent years, choosing instead to focus on her health and personal growth following a challenging period away from the public eye.

Chantelle previously spent time in hospital after being diagnosed with supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), a heart condition that affects around 2.25 in every 1,000 women. She later revealed she had also developed atrial fibrillation (AFib), but reassured fans she is being carefully monitored.

In a previous interview with Daily Star, she explained: “Yeah so I’ve got a heart condition known as Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) and actually I now have Atrial fibrillation (AFib) as well, but it’s being monitored and I’m OK.

“It’s not life threatening, I’m not on any medication. If things deteriorate then I can be, but I’m being closely monitored. Other than that I’ve got a clean bill of health!”

Chantelle admitted the past year has been one of deep reflection after stepping back from fame amid personal struggles.

“Because I took a massive step back from the public eye, because I had personal, serious things going on. I spent so much time on my own, and a lot of that was like thinking time, like looking after myself, not only like my mental health, my physical health, what you put into your body, what you put on your body. So I had a lot of time in my hands to sort of think about my passions.

“I was the kind of person years ago to be really ignorant. If someone said, ‘I need to find out who I am’ I’d be like, ‘Where are you gonna find yourself, like in Tesco’s or something?’ How ignorant is that? But that’s because I was completely emotionally asleep and stunted.

“But I think when you are forced to spend so much time on your own because of trauma and stuff that you’re going through, you only actually have yourself and your thoughts, and I just learned so much about myself and what I stand for. So I’ve really put my heart and soul into what I’m creating at the moment. So yeah, I’m really, really excited!”
