Harrison Solomon has returned to Love Island All Stars after his controversial season 12 stint
The drama unfolds relentlessly in the Love Island villa, with countless tears and explosive confrontations keeping viewers glued to their screens.
Audiences have been treated to chaotic love triangles, heated rows and savage departures, alongside jaw-dropping bombshell entrances. Latest episodes left fans gobsmacked as two new arrivals made their iconic debut – Jessy Potts and Harrison Solomon.
Yet viewers wasted no time expressing their frustration upon witnessing Harrison’s return to television, mere months following his contentious appearance during Love Island series 12.
He had been partnered with eventual champion Toni Laites before becoming entangled in the programme’s most notorious love triangle, prompting widespread criticism from home audiences regarding his conduct.
Following his screen comeback, one Love Island devotee declared: “Ugh, hate Harrison. Why did they bring him back after what he did.”
Another commented: “Harrison coming back is DEFINITELY NOT what the fans want to see.”
Whilst Harrison pursues his All Stars bombshell journey, investigating potential romances with Belle and Sher, we’ve revisited some of his most dramatic moments from series 12.
Memorable arrival
Harrison Solomon made his Love Island villa entrance on day 8, instantly clicking with American bombshell Toni Laites in what seemed like an undeniable spark, sharing numerous similarities. The pair ventured on a romantic date with everything appearing to progress seamlessly, before chaos ensued, reports OK!.
Secret kiss
Nevertheless, whilst navigating his romantic options and coupled up with Toni, he persisted in exchanging cheeky remarks with fellow Islander Helena, culminating in a secret kiss on the Terrace.
Viewers condemned the behaviour as “sneaky” at the time, which ultimately sparked fireworks between him and Toni. After owning up to the “little kiss”, Toni questioned why he never displays such affection publicly, calling him a “p****” and “sneaky”.
Despite the rocky patch, Harrison and Toni remained paired together right through to Casa Amor.
Notorious romantic drama
Harrison struck up a fresh bond with Lauren Wood during his Casa Amor stint, sparking what would become one of the programme’s most notorious romantic entanglements. He eventually returned to the main villa with Lauren in tow, yet remained captivated by American stunner Toni.
Even though Toni was partnered with Cach, the pair kept chatting until word reached Toni that Harrison had spent the night with Lauren. This revelation prompted Toni to pull back and concentrate on her bond with Cach.
Harrison’s confession to Toni
The situation shifted again when Harrison escorted Toni to the terrace and basically pleaded with her to choose him at the forthcoming recoupling ceremony. Toni subsequently selected Harrison at the firepit, unaware of the true depth of Lauren and Harrison’s involvement.
Her choice sparked turmoil and heartbreak for Lauren and Cach, leading to countless tears. Yet it wasn’t long before Harrison reversed his stance and confessed he genuinely longed for Lauren.
Dramatic departure
Subsequently, Lauren was shockingly booted from the villa where she begged Harrison to accompany her. Though he initially declined to depart, the following day he chose to pursue her back home where they carried on their romance in the real world.
Nevertheless, months following the programme’s conclusion, Lauren and Harrison revealed their split. According to sources, they maintained daily contact right up until his All Stars appearance.
Women’s Aid declaration
In response to Harrison’s conduct, Women’s Aid released a statement criticising the star’s actions as the programme also attracted hundreds of Ofcom complaints. Harrison subsequently recognised his errors.
During his departure interview he stated: “Normally I say I live life with no regrets, but the way I went about certain situations I definitely would’ve handled it differently on reflection. I feel like I would’ve taken myself away from the situation for a day or two and just really figured out what I wanted.
“I would’ve had those awkward conversations just to let people know where my head was at, I do shy away from those conversations on the outside. Especially here, I should’ve been more honest.
“It was for the greater good, and it would’ve stopped people’s feelings from getting hurt. People were hurt more by me being so indecisive and trying to avoid awkward conversations. I definitely would’ve gone about handing triangles in another way.”
Love Island All Stars continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
