Hally Galletta, from Perth, Scotland, was left ‘a bit scared’ after noticing her chest was changing just weeks after she had a breast reduction and uplift operation

A woman was left stunned after discovering her breasts were gradually returning to their original size just weeks after forking out for a reduction and lift procedure.

Hally Galletta was left feeling “a bit scared” when she noticed the changes to her chest. The Scottish woman from Perth had undergone surgery to finally feel at ease in her own skin. Since she doesn’t meet the criteria for NHS funding, Hally now faces paying for a second reduction – less than a year after her initial operation.

“Literally within a month and a half after it was done, I looked down and I was like, ‘These things have just appeared again – they’re back,'” Hally told What’s The Jam. “I’m getting another breast reduction next month. I’m a bit scared because it’s the second time in eight months but I’m literally going to say, ‘I want to be a size A’.

“I’m just going to say [to the doctors to] ‘Take them all off’ at this point’.”

Despite her surgeon confirming that 200 grams – roughly equivalent to the weight of an adult hamster – had been removed from each breast, Hally felt the outcome was hardly visible.

She remarked: “It’s really annoying after paying so much money and some people get them through the NHS. But I know I wouldn’t qualify and I feel like it’s a long wait. [On the upside], it was a really fast process.

“I had my consultation a couple of weeks after I contacted the hospital and then I got to pick the surgery date, which was really good.

“So after the surgery, they were very tight in and it looked like there was a difference. The surgeon said he took 200g out of each, but my friends say they look the same size as they were before.

“I’ve got a photo from before the surgery and a photo from now and they literally look exactly the same.”

Baffled and frustrated, Hally underwent her initial operation in April 2025 and is set for a second round this March.

She continued: “I’ve not put any weight on to make them grow back, I’m literally the same weight I was before the surgery.

“We’ll see how that [the second surgery] goes and if they appear back again because I’m not going for a third. I feel like that’s a sign I’ve got to keep them”.
