Brooklyn Beckham has pledged to protect his wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham amid ongoing family drama with his parents David and Victoria Beckham
Brooklyn Beckham has pledged to “forever protect” his wife Nicola Peltz-Beckham amidst a family spat with his famous parents. The 26 year old son of football legend Sir David and fashion icon Lady Victoria Beckham, expressed his unwavering devotion to his 31 year old actress wife on Valentine’s Day.
Sharing a monochrome photo of the couple sharing a kiss, he penned on Instagram : “Happy Valentine’s Day baby x I am the luckiest person in the world to be able to call you my valentines every year x I love you more than you know and I will forever protect and love you x.”
This heartfelt message follows Brooklyn’s allegations that his mum behaved “danced very inappropriately” during his first dance with his bride, causing him great embarrassment.
In a series of six Instagram posts, he stated: “My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic love song.”
He continued, “In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead.
“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.
“We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment.”
In another part of the bombshell declaration, Brooklyn made it clear he has no desire to “not want to reconcile” with his family due to their treatment of his wife. He also claimed his parents attempted to “sabotage” his romance with Nicola prior to their 2022 wedding.
The concluding segment of the explosive statement revealed how the pair and their “future family” simply desire “peace, privacy and happiness”.
Brooklyn penned: “The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life. I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared.
“I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief. My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
