Gogglebox star Raza Siddiqui has not appeared on the latest series of the Channel 4 show like usual, and now the family have updated fans after he suffered an accident
Googlebox star Raza Siddiqui has been in hospital after an accident.
The beloved Siddiqui family have appeared on Gogglebox since 2013, the very first series of the Channel 4 show. The Siddiqui clan consists of Baasit, his two brothers Umar and Raza, and father Sid, with mum Nasreen not appearing on the programme.
Razi often appears on the show with his brothers and dad, but he hasn’t been on the new season. It turns out he hasn’t been able to because he had a fall and cracked his ribs, so he’s had to recover.
His family shared a pic of Raza in hospital. The TV star was in bed and hooked up to breathing machines but he seemed to be in high spirits despite the accident as he smiled for the camera with a thumbs up.
His family members wrote alongside the pic: “For you eagle eyed Goggleboxers, you may have noticed that Raza (@razathefaint) hasn’t joined us on the sofa so far this season.
“Sadly he had a bit of a fall, a few weeks back and cracked some ribs. He’s recovering nicely and will be joining us on the sofa in a few weeks time.
“He’s absolutely smashing his recovery, staying positive and keeping himself entertained with walks, telly, reading and nephew cuddles with Theodore. I know you guys reaching out and sending your well wishes will put a bigger smile on his face than morphine ever could.
They added: “Can’t wait for all four Siddiquis to be back on team @c4gogglebox with the rest of the fab families.”
Fans rushed to the comments to wish Raza well on his recovery. One wrote: “Oh no! Get well soon!”
Another commented: “Bless you get well soon, we look forward to having you back on our screens when you are well enough.” A third said: “Wishing him a very speedy recovery.”
Last year, the family were inundated with support after announcing their “little Diva” cat, Poppy, had died after nearly 14 years. They posted some adorable photos of their fluffy grey feline on Instagram on Saturday (September 27) and penned a heartfelt tribute alongside it.
They also mentioned their late cat Rufus who died earlier in the year as they continued: “A lifetime of memories we will all never forget. We hope you are reunited with your big brother Rufus and are both chasing rainbows together.”
They referenced a touching quote which read: “Pets leave paw prints on our hearts, and memories in our souls.”
They wrote: “Sleep Tight Little One. Our little Diva Poppy – nearly 14 years and still didn’t feel long enough [broken heart emoji].”
