- Gordon Ramsay has opened up about his crippling guilt over his brother Ronnie’s heroin addiction in his new Netflix documentary.
- The celebrity chef revealed his brother, just 15 months younger, has battled addiction for four decades while Gordon became a global superstar. “I have a guilt complex that could have been me,” he admitted.
- Gordon shared how they grew up sharing bunk beds in the same bedroom but took completely different paths in life. He described going “to hell and back” with his troubled sibling.
- The Hell’s Kitchen star also opened up about his “torrid relationship” with his alcoholic father. Gordon said he “couldn’t wait to spend time out of the house away from him” and had to watch his dad “ruin his life through alcohol.”
- His father never once ate at any of Gordon’s famous restaurants, with the chef explaining: “Dad never felt comfortable… He never once sat down at a table.”
- Gordon credits his dysfunctional upbringing with driving his success, saying it “puts fuel in my tank.” He now uses those awful experiences to become a better father to his six children with wife Tana, including Strictly star Tilly.
