Lucinda Strafford and Sean Stone recently were recently crowned favourite Love Island: All Stars couple by fans and Helena Ford and Carrington Rodriguez have revealed what the pair are really like
Dumped Love Island stars Helena Ford and Carrington Rodriguez have opened up on their dramatic exit from the villa.
The pair became the latest duo to be given the boot just days before the grand finale of the ITV2 dating show which takes place on Monday, February 23.
After receiving the least amount of public votes, Helena and Carrington were told to pack their bags leaving their fellow Islanders gutted.
Sharing her thoughts on their exit, Helena, who first appeared on Love Island series 12 last summer, said: “The dumping was very rogue and I wasn’t expecting it. I’d just had my morning coffee and next minute I’m booted out of the door.
“I’ve left on such a positive note. I’ve really got the experience I wanted last time, this time. I got emotional when I was leaving talking to the girls as the support group within those girls is insane. I felt sad to be leaving them especially. It’s a bittersweet feeling.”
Carrington, who has previously appeared on Love Island USA and Love Island Games, added: “I was shocked being dumped after we won a compatibility challenge but we’re in a good spot. Now we can get to know each other outside of the villa.
“I really like where me and Helena are at. I’ve told her plenty of times I came here to really connect with someone and I wouldn’t trade it.”
With the final just days away, the pair revealed who they would like to see win the third series of Love Island: All Stars, following in the footsteps of Tom Clare and Molly Smith and Casey O’Gorman and Gabby Allen.
Helena said: “Lucinda [Strafford] and Sean [Stone]. They knew they had something in the moment and they decided to make this massive uproar in the Villa, they stood on it and proved everyone wrong. Everyone doubted it and they’ve done a U-turn. Never known two people to be so similar.
“Or I think Whitney [Adebayo] and Yamen. Yamen [Sanders] is so good for Whitney. She really listens to him, she’s got a lot of respect for him. They just work.”
Carrington agreed: “I would pick Lucinda and Sean. They’ve really grown on me and just everything they went through.
“How Sean backs her and how she handled being in the hot seat so long. They’ve jumped everybody with their love and connection.”
Sean and Lucinda were recently voted favourite couple by the public but will they go all the way and win the £50,000 prize fund?
Love Island: All Stars airs Sunday to Friday on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
