Love Island All Stars viewers have been left distracted by a ‘messy’ detail that aired this week
Love Island All Stars fans have been thrown off by a “messy” detail that featured in the series, leading to claims that ITV chiefs are “trolling” viewers.
This week saw Whitney Adebayo and American heartthrob Yamen Sanders embark on their first date after coming last in the ‘Knowing Me, Knowing You’ challenge.
Having failed to correctly answer the most questions about each other compared to the other couples, they were whisked away for a romantic date at a vineyard. Here, they sipped champagne and nibbled on a selection of meats and cheeses whilst discussing their future plans.
However, viewers couldn’t help but spot that Yamen’s outfit – a striking geometric print shirt – seemed familiar. It has since transpired that the same shirt was donned by Whitney’s ex, Lochan Nowacki during their date which aired on Season 10 of Love Island back in 2023.
Whitney and Lochan went on to be runners-up in their season, and post-show enjoyed a two-year relationship before parting ways last year, reports OK!
Whitney even alluded to her previous relationship whilst on the date with Yamen, confessing she hadn’t anticipated her All Stars experience would surpass her previous stint in the ITV2 villa.
“When it comes to a connection I feel like we’ve probably got the best connection in the house,” Yamen revealed. “I feel like we know each other extremely well.”
Whitney subsequently remarked: “Last time I came in here, I obviously left with a long-term relationship. So I didn’t think something could top that last experience. But I feel like it has been topped.”
One astonished ITV viewer insisted screenshots circulating online of the two men wearing identical shirts must be AI-generated, but the Daily Star has verified it was the same garment.
“I SCREAMED, not the same shirt chile,” wrote one viewer, whilst another questioned: “Pls say this is AI? There’s no way.”
A third remained doubtful, remarking: “Someone tell me this is AI cause this is messy af!” whilst a fourth suggested: “Guys, it’s just to prove that the clothes are eBay, second hand.”
Another reality television enthusiast weighed in, declaring: “But Whitney got an upgrade on the man in the shirt!” whilst yet another ITV viewer blamed the programme’s partnership with pre-owned platform eBay. “This is what happens when the sponsor is EBay loool,” they joked.
