Danny Dyer has addressed the rumours surrounding his potential involvement in the next series of Celebrity Traitors
Danny Dyer has issued a disappointing update on the second season of Celebrity Traitors.
Following the success of the inaugural series of the popular BBC gameshow, which saw Alan Carr claim victory, fans have been discussing potential names for the upcoming edition.
Several celebrities have already shown interest in participating in the programme, including The Night Manager’s Tom Hiddleston. Entertainment betting specialists OLBG recently unveiled the latest odds for series two participants.
These included BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James, comedians Bob Mortimer and Joe Lycett, and Gavin and Stacey’s Ruth Jones. Additional rumoured celebrities include Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden, This Morning’s Alison Hammond, The Masked Singer’s Davina McCall, and former EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, reports Wales Online.

Danny has now clarified the situation, delivering a blunt response to the speculation on a forthcoming episode of The Jonathan Ross Show.
The 48-year-old actor is scheduled to feature on the ITV chat programme tomorrow evening (Saturday, February 21), alongside Grey’s Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey, comedian Jack Whitehall, and singer-songwriter Rebecca Lucy Taylor, known as Self Esteem.
During the programme, Danny is questioned about the speculation regarding his possible participation in the next series of Celebrity Traitors. He firmly tells host Jonathan Ross: “That’s absolute bollocks. I don’t why they’re saying it. If they ask me I’ll do it, but no one’s asked me. I would f***ing declare it. I’m not on it, you’ll see when it comes on.”
Danny isn’t the only star to discuss a potential appearance in the series, with Oasis lead singer Liam Gallagher recently stating that he’d been “asked” to participate in the forthcoming series.

This comes after season one champion Alan Carr recently revealed his desire to purchase a Traitors-inspired castle after his victory.
Speaking on last week’s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, he stated: “I’m having a midlife crisis. I want a turret to call my own. I’m in my turret era. I fancy a move and I loved being in The Traitors castle, so I thought, ‘I’m going to get myself one.’
“You know when people have a midlife crisis that they get a ponytail or a Lamborghini… I want a castle. You know when you fancy something? I’m 50 this year – I know I don’t look it – and I just want one.”
Alan added: “I know it sounds very grand. I’m moving from where I am at the minute, I want animals there and a community thing. I’m lonely where I am. It’ll be nice, having people come there and having cream tea.”
Celebrity Traitors is available to stream on BBC iPlayer, while The Jonathan Ross Show returns to ITV1 on Saturday, February 21 at 9.25pm
