This Morning’s Josie Gibson ‘smitten’ with ‘world’s hottest farrier’ after 5st weight loss

Josie Gibson appeared utterly besotted as she cuddled up to her new beau, Sam Wolfenden, at the Cheltenham Festival last week. The This Morning star seemed more interested in her partner than the races, as she and Sam – who’s been labelled “the world’s hottest farrier” – exchanged loving glances at the celebrity-filled sporting event.

“Josie has never felt happier than she does right now, she’s smitten,” an insider told new. “She’s hoping it’s the real deal with Sam. Anyone that sees them together notices they have a great connection and really make each other laugh.”

Reports suggest that Josie, 41, and Sam, 33, first connected a year ago whilst filming a segment for the ITV daytime programme. And at Ladies Day last week, the couple could hardly keep their hands to themselves – quite literally – as they flirted on a balcony.

Just hours before their public display of affection, the pair, who are said to share “incredible chemistry”, had once again filmed for This Morning’s cameras, after which Josie wrapped her arms around the handsome equestrian influencer. At one point, she tenderly placed her hand against his, reports the Mirror.

News of Josie’s new beau will delight fans of the star, who last year confessed it wouldn’t be “fair” to have a partner as her time is consumed by her TV career and her seven year old son, Reggie. However, it appears Sam has prompted a change of heart.

“She feels like she deserves this moment in her life,” reveals our insider. “Josie has been focusing on self-care recently, exercising, prioritising her health like never before following various health and weight struggles, and now she’s enjoying the rewards.”

Josie was previously involved with property developer Terry Bond, who is Reggie’s father. In 2023, there were whispers that she was seeing This Morning cameraman Sam Morter, but she publicly refuted these rumours, maintaining their relationship was strictly platonic.

In December, it was reported how Josie has “never felt better” after showcasing her impressive 5st weight loss. She had previously dismissed allegations that she’d undergone weight-loss surgery, posting on Instagram, “I didn’t get a gastric bypass; got off my big a***, moved more, ate less and educated myself on what I was stuffing into my body.”

She also expressed no interest in weight-loss injections, emphasising she didn’t want to “mess around” with her body. “I like everything natural – I always go down the natural route,” she stated.

Indeed, love is definitely in the air. “It’s not just about having a gorgeous new man on her arm – which of course she is very happy about – but also she feels content and comfortable in her own skin,” reveals our insider.
