- Emergency hospital visit: The Wanted singer Max George was rushed to hospital on Tuesday morning, just a year after having a pacemaker fitted. He shared a photo from his hospital bed, writing: “What now ffs. This s*** ALWAYS happens in the middle of the night.”
- Recent tests and scans: Max revealed he had undergone several tests following his previous heart surgeries. He explained: “I just had a scan done on my chest because I’ve had a bit of an issue with one of my lungs. It should be fine. It is just a precaution.”
- Ongoing heart issues: In November, Max suffered another scare when an arrhythmia caused the top half of his heart to beat at 50 while the bottom raced at 160. “It was scary but I’m alright now. I needed medication and I’m on that now, as it keeps it stable,” he said.
- Lifestyle adjustments: Max admitted he has to be cautious with physical activity because of his pacemaker. “Getting used to life that’s a little bit different. Stuff like exercise, I have to be careful doing too much because I depend on my pacemaker…It is what it is, you have to get on with it.”
- Unexpected shock: The singer described the ordeal as “crazy” and sudden. “It literally came out of nowhere…everything was fine on tour in America, and it just happened at home. You don’t really have time to think about it, to be honest,” he said.
