Kylie Minogue becomes a Barbie doll again

Two years after lucky lucky lucky fans were able to play with their Kylie Minogue dolls, a fresh Barbie has been created in the Aussie’s honour. The star said: “I can’t wait to see Kylie Barbie out in the wild!”

Aussie pop princess Kylie Minogue Barbie has been turned into a Barbie doll again.

The I Should Be So Lucky star previously teamed up with toy giants Mattel for a Barbie Role Model figure during Barbie’s 65th anniversary in 2024, and it was so popular they have decided to make another.

The new Kylie Minogue Collectible Doll is dressed in the red outfit she wore for her Padam Padam music video, the track that sent her back into the top 10 of the UK charts.

Kylie shared: “Seeing this doll come to life has been really special. The response to the one-of-a-kind Barbie Role Model was overwhelming, so I was excited to team up with Mattel again and I can’t wait to see Kylie Barbie out in the wild! Connection has always been at the heart of everything I do, and sharing the joy and fun of the Tension era with people across the globe has been an incredible experience.

“From the spark of Padam Padam through to the Tension albums and world tour, this Barbie feels like a perfect snapshot of that time.”

Kylie Minogue is many things – singer, songwriter, actress, wine maker and now a toy with moveable limbs!

The new doll boasts incredible detail, from her floaty chiffon shawl to the lacing on her pvc boots. Even the make up reflects Kylie’s look from the video.

Sharing an image of herself as a child in pigtails excited Kylie added: “If you told her what’s dropping she wouldn’t believe you.”

However, the Barbie Signature Kylie Minogue Collectible Doll won’t come cheap, it retails for £69.99 and is expected to sell out making it even more valuable. Some special edition Barbies go for hundred of pounds.

The Kylie doll is available from Feb 12 via the Mattel Shop, Amazon, Argos, Hamleys, Very, Smyths.

Kylie isn’t the only popstar who’s become a Barbie. Fleetwood Mac legend Stevie Nicks was transformed into a top selling doll last year. Alicia Keys was honoured with a custom doll in 2025 as part of Barbie’s Role Model/Career of the Year program.

A Barbie was created to celebrate Tina Turner’s hit What’s Love Got to Do With It while a Ziggy Stardus” Barbie was made for David Bowie.

Cher, Shania Twain, Nicki Minaj, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Gloria Estefan and Barbra Streisand have also been part of the celebrity collector doll series.

And don’t forget the King himself Elvis Presley released as a Ken doll wearing an American Eagle jumpsuit. How long before we get a Cruz Beckham doll?
