Olympian Adam Peaty has opened up about his romance with Holly Ramsay and admitted it has been a game-changer for him after years of family drama
Adam Peaty has revealed that marrying Holly Ramsay has given him a good family life for the first time. The Olympian is thrilled to be part of the clan, which includes her famous dad Gordon.
Adam’s happiness comes after a long-running feud with his mum Caroline. In a new interview about his marriage to Holly, he said: “Obviously I knew I wanted to marry Holly and I knew that because Holly brings me a peace that I’ve never had… in all aspects of my life. I’ve seen how her family works.
“When you’re marrying someone, you’re marrying into the family.”
Adam has nothing but praise for Holly’s dad Gordon.
He said: “Gordon is very fair, very respectful, but also loves a good joke. We are very similar.”
Adam opens up in Gordon’s new Netflix series, which is available to stream in full.
Adam and the Ramsays are in a rift with the swimmer’s estranged family. Gordon insisted him and wife Tana had “done nothing wrong” and treated Adam’s family “like royalty”.
He claimed that the feud was “self-inflicted on their side”, but Adam’s family have hit back at the chef and accused him of being a “bully”. Gordon has since denied this, telling The Sun: “I am certainly not a bully, and it is so appalling to even suggest there was any bullying.”
Adam’s sister Bethany was the only member of his family to attend Adam and Holly’s wedding on December 27. She was a bridesmaid at the ceremony with Holly’s sisters Tilly and Megan.
The feud reportedly escalated after Caroline was no invited to Holly’s hen do. Mark was reportedly told he could attend the wedding but only if he sat at the back – he didn’t attend.
