A man is fighting for his life after he was allegedly attacked with a hammer by a woman as he lay in a hospital bed in Sydney, Australia, in the early hours of the morning

A man was reportedly hit in the head with a hammer by a woman while he was lying in a hospital bed.

The incident took place in the early hours at a hospital in Sydney’s inner west.

A 46 year old woman has been apprehended and charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

According to the Daily Telegraph, police investigators are reportedly probing a possible link between the attack and a recent death in the man’s family, which has sparked a dispute over a will.
