Fans of The Traitors are convinced that two players will regret their decision

Fans of The Traitors reckon they’ve clocked clear hints that have slipped past Rachel and Stephen, leading to their ‘biggest blunder’. The current series of the popular BBC reality contest has been a rollercoaster ride of unexpected plot twists. So far, audiences have seen two Traitors exposed.

This included the early expulsion of Hugo, swiftly followed by Secret Traitor Fiona. She was at the heart of one of the most explosive moments of the series, having a row with Rachel and even pointing the finger at her as a Traitor in the kitchen, in full view of everyone. This sparked worries that she had violated the Traitor oath.

However, the Traitor-on-Traitor clash seemed to only strengthen the bond between Stephen and Rachel, who have since made careful attempts to back each other up in front of the remaining Faithfuls. They’ve also managed to weather Round Tables where they faced allegations, even after they offed Jesse who couldn’t rally support for her accusation against Stephen, reports Wales Online.

Now, fans believe they’ve picked up on all the glaring signs the Faithfuls have overlooked that could expose the remaining Traitors. One viewer has pinpointed what they believe to be Rachel and Stephen’s greatest error, which could jeopardise their chances of winning the game.

One eagle-eyed viewer took to The Traitors UK subreddit, pointing out a key piece of evidence that the Faithfuls seemed to have overlooked. They stated: “Stephen murdering Jessie was a big clue that the Faithfuls completely missed. The logic for identifying Stephen as a Traitor in yesterday’s episode is actually very simple. The day before Jessie called out Stephen at the Round Table, and said she would keep going for Stephen.

“She was then murdered. Either Stephen murdered her or the Traitors murdered her to frame Stephen. There is no other logical alternative, because if Stephen were faithful the Traitors would have kept Jessie in the game, since she was only focused on Stephen – unless they were framing him.”

The original poster clarified that one of the Traitors would have had to lead the discussion around Stephen at the next Round Table to push the framing. As it was not a topic it shows that “the murderer would in fact have to be Stephen.”

The discussion continued with an analysis of Rachel’s role, stating: “The Faithful know that Fiona was a Traitor who had no heat on her, who out of nowhere told everyone that “Rachel is a traitor” and effectively staked her place in the game on it. The only way the move made any logical sense at all, is if Fiona was a Faithful and incorrect in her convictions or BOTH Fiona and Rachel were Traitors.

“Fiona being found out to be a Traitor should have been a confirmation to the Faithfuls that Rachel was a traitor too. In fact, the Faithfuls passed over this very obvious Traitor on Traitor behaviour altogether.”

Another post suggested that Stephen and Rachel may have already committed a significant error that could jeopardise their chances of winning in the final. The user wrote: “Their biggest mistake is not having recruited. Don’t get me wrong , I understand why they’re not doing it. They trust each other and aren’t stabbing themselves in the back. But the Faithfuls always think they’re 3 or 4, it’s going to be almost impossible to win together.”

However, some fans defended the duo’s strategy. One responded: “I think Fiona made them realise that outsiders cause drama.”

Another fan chimed in: “Recruiting has been the downfall of Traitors in the past. Rachel and Stephen have bonded now as traitors. A recruited traitor has only a single goal in mind – throw the OG traitors under the bus.”

Another added: “Yes, even the traitor wannabe Matt was saying it in the confessional. He has big plans..”

The Traitors continues on Wednesday at 8pm on BBC One and iPlayer. For the latest showbiz, TV, movie and streaming news, go to the new **Everything Gossip** website.
