The 44-year-old, who beat his 10-year-old daughter Sara to death, is now being held in HMP Frankland, the same prison where double child killer Huntley was murdered.

Monster Urfan Sharif, who beat his daughter to death, fears he will be knifed by prisoners in an Ian Huntley copycat killing. The 44-year-old is now being held in HMP Frankland, the same prison where double child killer Huntley was murdered.

Sara had received more than 70 external injuries, including burns, bruises and puncture wounds, when her tiny body was found dead in a bunk bed at the family home in Surrey on 10 August 2023.

One source said: “Sharif is a coward. Most of the time he’s too scared to leave his cell. He’s convinced that he is going to be attacked and killed just like Huntley. He looks like a haunted man, knowing what’s coming to him.”

Sharif was jailed for life with a minimum term of 40 years after murdering his 10-year-old daughter Sara.

The schoolgirl’s stepmother, Beinash Batool, was also found guilty of murder and received a 33-year sentence.

Sara’s uncle, Faisal Malik, 29, who was found guilty of causing or allowing her death, was jailed for 16 years.

Sharif was moved to the Durham jail, also known as Monster Mansion, after he was attacked in the top-security Belmarsh prison in south London.

HMP Frankland is also the same jail where Wayne Couzens, the former cop who raped and murdered Sarah Everard, is held.

The source added: “There are a lot of very dangerous and horrible convicts in Frankland, including murderers, rapists and paedophiles, but the most hated are child killers like Ian Huntley. He was a dead man walking.

Everyone knew that he was going to be seriously hurt one day because of his crimes.“Everyone in Frankland knows what Sharif did to his daughter , he won’t be forgiven.”

Old Bailey judge Mr Justice Cavanagh said Sara’s death “was the culmination of years of neglect, frequent assaults and what can only be described as torture”, mainly at the hands of Sharif.

The senior judge said her “despicable treatment” took place in “plain sight and in front of the rest of the family”.

He told Sharif: “You treated her in such a way because you considered it your right to impose harsh discipline on her.“Sara was a brave, feisty and spirited child. She was not submissive as you wanted her to be. She stood up to you.“I have no doubt that your ego and sense of self-importance was boosted by the power you wielded over her and the rest of the family.”

A Ministry of Justice spokesperson said: “This Government inherited a prison system in crisis, overcrowded and rife with violence.

“We are fixing this and have invested over £40 million in physical security measures to better keep the public safe and tackle violence behind bars.
