With the internet currently awash with speculation about the viral AI picture of Mia Khalifa sat alongside Lana Rhoades, we take a look at what the former adult entertainer is up to now…

Mia Khalifa shot into global consciousness in 2015, when a controversial adult film of her performing in a threesome while wearing a hijab was released. She became the most-searched for adult performer on PornHub that year, but also received backlash – including her parents publicly disowning her.

After three months of working in the p*** industry, Mia resigned because of the negative criticism she received. “It was my rebellious phase, but I’m trying to distance myself from all that now,” the 33-year-old said at the time.

But what does Mia do now, aside from debunking AI-generated photos of herself sitting next to Lana Rhoades at the World Cup?

Sheytan and modelling

In 2023 the Lebanese model launched a jewelry line called ‘Sheytan’ alongside designer Sara Burn. The word ‘Sheytan’ is an anglicised form of the Arabic word for ‘devil’, possibly inspired by the backlash Mia received after her time in the adult industry where she was often depicted as evil by Muslim factions.

She was featured in a campaign for the London-based fashion label Aries in Autumn 2023.

The founder of the brand Sofia Prantera said: “I felt immediately inspired by Mia’s ‘Punk’ attitude. She is strong but extremely humble, and under her glossy appearance here is a tough young girl who has had to fight her way through so much adversity. I wanted to capture her wild spirit; raw and unpolished.”

Media personality and activism

Mia often uses her massive social media platform to speak out about global human rights, governmental corruption in Lebanon, and the rights of sex workers.

She gave a highly publicised address at the Oxford Union where she spoke about rebuilding her public persona, discussed the importance of setting boundaries and her journey towards self-confidence.

Adult work

Mia still occasionally posts content on adult subscription services where she performs for her fans. The model has often said she prefers these sorts of sites in comparison to larger p*** websites because she can control what she puts out.

In July 2020, more than 1.5 million people signed a Change.org petition campaigning for Khalifa’s videos to be removed from sites like Pornhub and BangBros, and for her Internet domains to be returned to her.

Who she is supporting in the World Cup

An AI-image of Mia and adult star Lana Rhoades recently went viral, showing the models sitting in the stands of a football stadium while watching Paraguay vs USA.

The picture was quickly debunked as fake, with Mia herself commenting: “It’s AI, I wouldn’t have a team USA hat.”

To answer the question of who she is supporting at the World Cup, Mia wrote: “Today I am Bosnian, later this evening I am Paraguayan. Tomorrow at 6pm I am Moroccan, and at 9pm I am Haitian.”

Unfortunately for Mia, all of her teams failed to win their World Cup opener but Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Morocco both gained a point. USA thrashed Paraguay, while Scotland’s John McGinn secured the home nation’s first three points in a close game with Haiti.
