Emmerdale delivered a shocking cliffhanger on Friday’s episode as two bodies were discovered in the village

Soap watchers will recall that villains Ray Walters and Celia Daniels wreaked havoc across the village last year, preying on youngsters April Windsor and Dylan Penders and forcing them into horrific situations to settle supposed debts.

Meanwhile, the twisted pair held Bear Wolf prisoner on Celia’s farm in a chilling modern slavery plot.

Bear, alongside other trapped victims including Anya, were compelled to labour under false debts on the property, yet despite Ray’s psychological games, he developed an unlikely connection with his captor.

Last year, Ruby Milligan discovered Anya when she hid in the back of a van trying to escape her captors. Realising she was unwell and unaware of her predicament at the hands of Celia, Ruby offered her a place to stay.

However, Caleb instead offered her £10,000 to leave to which she accepted and left the village. However, sadly, Ray caught up with her and Anya later died when Ray refused to take her to a hospital.

Celia and Ray made Bear bury Anya in Moira’s farm land. Since then, Bear has managed to escape the farm while Ray murdered Celia earlier this month before he was killed by Bear, who was protecting his son Paddy Kirk and Dylan from his violent outburst.

Earlier this week, Ruby saw Bear looking for Anya’s grave, realising something might be amiss. After alerting the police, they headed to Moira’s farm to investigate.

As the episode ended on Friday, it showed a body discovered as Ruby broke down in tears. However, in a worrying development, another body was found…

With the episode ending on a cliffhanger, spoilers for next week reveal what viewers can expect as Moira is charged with double murder.

In upcoming scenes, Moira and Cain Dingle are shocked to be arrested for murder in front of their children. At the Police Station, Cain remains tight-lipped throughout his interview and is later released without charge.

Meanwhile, throughout her interview, Moira maintains she was set up by Celia but is stunned when DS Walsh reveals that one of the bodies was Celia.

Moria begins to panic when she realises the sheer amount of evidence stacked against her, especially when it’s revealed that one of the bodies was shrouded in Moira’s blanket.

Things go from bad to worse when DS Walsh reveals Moira’s DNA was found on the blanket Anya was buried in, and Moira is gobsmacked to be charged with both Celia and Anya’s murders.

Elsewhere, Ruby, overwhelmed with guilt about Anya, encounters Paddy and Bear. A distressed Bear Wolf recalls Anya’s final moments, mentioning that Ray tried to help her, but Ruby bitterly lashes out, declaring Ray deserved a slow, horrible death.

Seeing Bear breaking down over his guilt, Paddy shoves Ruby out and slams the door. Later, Paddy and Dylan are troubled when DS Walsh arrives for a chat, worried that Bear will accidentally reveal his part in Ray’s death.

DS Walsh questions a confused and emotional Bear about Anya, and he reveals that he dug her grave for Ray. Paddy panics and cuts the interview short when Bear becomes distressed and confused about the blanket that Anya was wrapped in.
