A former teacher has been exposed for engaging in a sexual relationship with her 17-year-old student. She had been exchanging explicit messages and hosting a sexual encounter that was several hours long.
She did so at her marital home while her husband was away. As a result, she pleaded guilty to first-degree sexual misconduct.
McKenna Kindred, from Washington state, USA, has been exposed for engaging in a sexual relationship with her 17-year-old student, exchanging explicit messages before inviting him to her marital home for a three-and-a-half-hour sexual encounter while her husband was away on a hunting trip, according to a recent report. The relationship reportedly began in June 2022.
The student had discovered Kindred’s Instagram account, leading to months of sexually charged texts, images, and videos. The student told police he arrived at the Kindred home between 6:30 and 7 p.m., where the pair began kissing during a film before moving to the bedroom for sex until around 10 p.m., The New York Post reported.
They were later “hanging out” in the living room and showering before the boy left at 11:30 p.m. Among the explicit messages exchanged, the student wrote: “Mom glad I can satisfy you”, to which Kindred responded positively.
When asked if she had used a sex toy while thinking of him, she replied: “I did.” The student suggested: “U should have video it and save it.”
Kindred responded: “Hm next time I need to relearn Snapchat haha.”
Other messages from Kindred included, “I want you to be in my room”, and “I really like being touched by you.”
The illicit relationship came to light in December 2022 after the student’s friends shared screenshots of the messages with school officials.
The boy’s mother, Ashley Beckley, reportedly told investigators she had seen photos Kindred sent her son of her breasts and an explicit video of him, and was aware of the sex toy messages.
In March 2024, Kindred admitted to first-degree sexual misconduct, avoiding prison but receiving two years’ probation, a $700 (approximately £511) fine, and a requirement to register as a sex offender for 10 years.
Following her guilty plea, Kindred and her husband are understood to have relocated to Idaho, and she has since surrendered her teaching licence.
