Pierre Sablé, who has just celebrated his seventh bundle of joy, little Louisa Maria, with his partner, 39-year-old Aïcha, had some defiant words for anyone who may feel like passing comment
A 91-year-old man who has just celebrated the birth of his seventh child has a simple message for any naysayers. After fathering six children with different mothers, nonagenarian Pierre Sablé has welcomed his latest bundle of joy, little Louisa Maria, with his partner, 39-year-old Aïcha.
Pierre recently celebrated his 91st birthday; although his son has sadly passed away, he is now the father of six daughters from six mothers, with the oldest being sixty years older than Louisa Maria.
But age hasn’t deterred Pierre from embracing fatherhood once more, as he and Aïcha have been caring for their “beautiful” and “bright” daughter for seven months at their family farmhouse.
Living in Pyrénées-Orientales in southern France, near Ille-sur-Têt, Pierre seems unfazed by any potential critics and shared defiant words to anyone who might pass judgement.
He told French newspaper Le Parisien: “Those who know me know that I do what I want and I don’t have to answer to anyone.”
In further comments to L’Indépendant, Pierre, who doesn’t see himself as “that old”, revealed that his eldest child is 60-year-old Carole and hinted that the secret to his longevity could be physical activity.
Pierre said: “I’m the only one who runs, who does trail running. I work the land as if I were twenty years younger.”
He also confessed that he had contemplated penning a letter to another older, though more renowned, father — Taxi Driver and Raging Bull legend Robert De Niro, who became a parent again at 82.
Pierre, with whom Aïcha is “happy” despite their 52-year age difference and calls him a “good dad” and a “very good life partner,” quipped: “I feel like writing to him: ‘You’ve been beaten, old man’.”
His daughters go by the names Carole, Julie, Pauline, Céleste, Jeanne, and Louisa Maria, aged 60, 50, 35, 30, 24, and seven months respectively, with his son called Jean-Pierre.
He revealed to the publication: “To be completely truthful, I didn’t just have daughters, but also a son, Jean-Pierre. I must have been 18 or 19 when we conceived him with his mother, Madeleine, a girl my age.
“But I only learned much later of the existence of this son who would unknowingly become the eldest of six sisters….”
An avid sportsman who relishes downhill skiing, snowboarding, running, and cycling, Pierre was even bestowed the privilege of carrying the Olympic torch in 2024 in the Catalan region.
Switching from a career as an estate agent to farming, Pierre explains that over the years he has had a child with a different woman each time — most of whom were about fifteen years his junior.
He admitted that he’s always enjoyed being “around younger people,” but claims to have avoided falling into the “trap” of what he described as becoming a “stereotypical ageing playboy.”
Pierre, who says he is “30 years old at heart,” met his current partner, fruit grower Aïcha, at the “foot of the slopes of Pyrénées 2000,” and the couple have planted pistachio trees on their property.
In a final touching comment, the father revealed that he has been giving his “youngest child her bottles” and sings nursery rhymes to her.
