Emmerdale return ‘sealed’ for legend after 10 years as Kammy’s father ‘unveiled’

Emmerdale could be welcoming back a soap legend in a major Kammy Hadiq twist

Emmerdale fans have rumbled the true identity of Kammy Hadiq’s secret father – and it’s a former village legend.

Kammy (Shebz Miah) made his soap debut last year – and it didn’t take him long to settle into life in the Dales, even bagging a job at Cain Dingle’s (Jeff Hordley) garage.

The character has also played a role in several major storylines during his stint. And at the end of 2025, it was clear that Kammy had a crush on Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper).

Although the pair hung out, Kammy and Belle decided they would be better off as friends because they weren’t feeling a romantic connection.

But fast forward to this week, and Belle and Kammy were back flirting with one another, with Belle stepping in to help Kammy at the garage after he was unable to manage the workload.

And after some gentle persuasion from his pals Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) and Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson), Kammy asked Belle out on a date, which she accepted.

And while Kammy is a firm favourite with viewers, not much is known about his family life. But fans are now convinced that he is related to a former village resident.

Sharing their thoughts about Kammy’s father, fans online think it could be Nikhil Sharma (Rik Makarem) who rocked up to the village way back in 2009, with brother Jai (Chris Bisson). He quickly became an icon on the soap and played a part in several big storylines – from his shock affairs to the death of wife Gennie (Sian Reese-Williams).

Nikhil originally left the village in 2013 after Gennie’s death, but returned in 2015 after his brother Jai got himself into trouble. He then left again a year later in 2016.

But with fans thinking he’s Kammy’s secret father, viewers reckon he could make a comeback. On an Emmerdale Facebook fan page: “I’m loving Kammy. They need to bring his family in, we want to know more.”

Someone else chimed in: “I think his dad could be Nikhil, Jai’s brother.” A third chimed in: “Yes, bring him back as well.” Another penned: “I always liked Nikhil.”
