D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, was arrested in connection to the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez after her remains were found in his car in September

US singer D4vd has been arrested after the body of a missing teenage girl was discovered in his Tesla.

The TikTok star, legally known as David Anthony Burke, has been arrested in relation to the death of the teenager who vanished in 2024.

The Coachella performer was the focus of a grand jury investigation into the alleged murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, 14, after her remains were found in his car in September.

The Los Angeles Police Department announced on Thursday that the 21-year-old was being held without bail and the case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office on Monday for filing consideration.

The singer has kept quiet on the case but representatives for the musician stated he was cooperating with authorities in the investigation.

Details about the death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez have been prohibited from public release, according to officials.

The court order means that no information about Hernandez’s death can be released or posted on the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office website.

Hernandez’s remains were discovered inside the boot of D4vd’s impounded Tesla on September 8, 2025, following reports of a foul smell at a Hollywood tow yard.

Rivas Hernandez, from Lake Elsinore in California, was last seen in April 2024.
