Donald Trump has been told he’s “lost the plot” as people claim they can now “see through his lies”. It comes following a major update on the war in Iran this week

The President of the United States is alleged to have “lost the plot” following an update regarding the war in Iran. Just yesterday (Friday) it was confirmed the Strait of Hormuz has been reopened after the Iranian foreign minister declared the waterway is open to all commercial vessels for the remainder of the ceasefire.

It wasn’t long before Donald Trump took to social media to share his views on the matter, and the White House reshared a post on X where he claimed it was “a great day for the world”. However, it wasn’t long before his remarks sparked controversy, as his own supporters are alleged to be able to “see through his lies”.

Now people are questioning how “effective” he is as a leader of the nation, as they hope the war in Iran will soon reach its conclusion. After the post was shared, people were swift to criticise, with thousands having responded to the post, and they made their views clear on the president.

One person suggested even Republican supporters can see through his lies, writing: “You do know that there are some educated three-time Trump voters that can see through this b******* right? It’s so insulting”.

Another added: “Seriously? Opening the Strait of Hormuz, which was open before the war, is the greatest achievement of the U.S. and a great day for the world?”

A third replied: “Man you’re such an ineffective leader”. Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Trump finally got the Strait opened. A Strait which he has gotten closed”.

Another individual also penned: “Is there anybody in the building responsible enough to remove this utter clown? Literally has lost the plot”.

However, some individuals are backing Trump. A handful of comments praised the President, expressing gratitude for his efforts.

One remarked: “Every day is a good day when you have a president who actually works for the American citizens!” Another person chimed in: “President Trump is delivering REAL results again!

“Peace through strength, not weakness! A ceasefire in Lebanon, the Strait of Hormuz opening up and talks with Iran looking promising. America is back, and the world is safer because of it!”

Another labelled him the “greatest president ever”, while someone else asserted America would “restore world peace”. Regardless, the developments have sparked considerable discussion.

Since the initial announcement regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, it appears there’s still work to be done.

Iran’s parliamentary speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has since declared that if the U.S. blockade continues “the strait of Hormuz will not remain open”.

It was highlighted whether the Strait remains open or closed and the rules governing it “will be determined by the field, not by social media”, according to Ghalibaf.
