Liam Gallagher confirms 2027 Oasis concert in major European city

Liam Gallagher tells fans Oasis will play a concert in Rome next year “without a doubt” and that he’s in the Italian capital to meet the Pope

Oasis have confirmed they WILL play shows in 2027 including the Italian capital.

Liam Gallagher has been spending time in Rome this week where he happily met a bunch of fans eager to find out the latest on future Oasis plans.When asked by one if the band would come back to play Rome. next year Liam replied: “without a doubt”.

The news comes months after Rome City Councillor for Major Events accidentally let slip that “negotiations are underway” to bring the Wonderwall legends to the Italian city.

Rome City Councillor Alessandro Onorato spilled: “Oasis in the capital? These are live shows for companies that organise events all over the world, and the financial aspect is crucial. Negotiations are underway.”

Last year Oasis avoided Europe, only playing gigs in the UK, Ireland, Americas, Asia and Australia.

There are strong rumours that the band will announce raft of mega shows for 2027 at venues across the world with Liam cryptically telling fans there will be news “soon”.

Shows expected to happen include Knebworth Park to mark the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1996 shows. Plus potential dates in Manchester (Etihad Stadium), London (Wembley), North America and various European cities.

On top form, Liam has been joking that he’s in Rome to meet the Pope this week. When asked what they discussed he responded: “Can’t tell you for security reasons”.

Another questioned why Liam appeared to be in such a good mood, asking him what are you on? Liam quipped back “pasta”.

Or it could be the rumoured £50 million he pocketed from last year’s shows.

Oasis hope to release their new documentary movie about last year’s reunion tour before any further concerts are announced.

A new book is also available – Oasis Live ’25 Opus, the official photographic chronicle of the band’s reunion, created with Liam and Noel Gallagher and shot by Simon Emmett, featuring unprecedented behind-the-scenes access and the now-iconic reunion image.
