The Hobot S7 Pro works on any smooth, flat surface including large mirrors, glass-top tables, shower screens, and glazed ceramic tiles, such as those commonly found in bathrooms and kitchens

I didn’t realise how much I’d been avoiding cleaning certain windows in my home until I tried the HOBOT S7 Pro. High panes above the stairs, awkward french doors, even the tall living room windows, I’d basically written them off as “too much hassle.”

After using this, that excuse is gone. Right out of the box, it felt surprisingly straightforward. I stuck it onto the glass, switched it on, and watched it cling securely in place.

I’ll admit, I was slightly nervous at first, trusting a robot to hang onto a vertical surface isn’t something you do every day, but the suction is genuinely strong. Once it was moving, it felt stable and controlled, not shaky or unpredictable.

What stood out most was how thorough it is. It doesn’t just wander around randomly, it follows a clear, methodical path and actually reaches the edges and corners.

The dual cleaning pads make a noticeable difference too. Instead of just smearing dirt around like some cheaper gadgets, it lifts grime and leaves the glass looking polished and streak-free. It’s the kind of finish I’d normally expect from doing it properly by hand (or paying someone else to).

I’ve used it on a mix of surfaces now: standard windows, a bathroom mirror, and even the shower screen and it handled all of them without issue. The fact that it works on different glass thicknesses is reassuring as well, nothing about it feels like it’s struggling or losing grip depending on the surface.

Control-wise, I mostly used the app, which was simple enough to get the hang of. You can also use the remote, but I liked being able to start it and leave it to do its thing. It even returns to where you started it, which sounds like a small detail, but makes a big difference when you’re dealing with high windows.

One feature I didn’t expect to notice, but did, is how the glass seems to stay cleaner for longer afterwards. Whether that anti-static effect is the reason or not, I’ve definitely had to clean less frequently since.

Safety was another concern going in, especially for exterior windows, but between the strong suction, backup battery, and tether rope, it feels well thought out. I wouldn’t say I completely forget it’s there, but I’m no longer hovering nearby worried it’s going to fall.

If I had to be critical, it’s not silent, you’ll definitely hear it while it’s working, but that feels like a fair trade-off for what it’s doing. And while £329 isn’t cheap, when I compare it to the cost (and inconvenience) of hiring window cleaners or risking ladders, it starts to make a lot of sense.

Overall, it’s one of those products that solves a problem you’ve quietly been ignoring. The HOBOT S7 Pro doesn’t just make window cleaning easier, it makes it possible in places I wouldn’t have bothered with before.

The HOBOT S7 Pro is available via Amazon and from Solenco UK with a retail price of £329.
