- A gunman who opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ dinner called himself the “Friendly Federal Assassin” in a chilling manifesto uncovered by authorities.
- Cole Tomas Allen, 31, from California, targeted President Trump and other officials during the shocking attack. Trump, First Lady Melania and Vice President JD Vance were all rushed to safety as shots rang out.
- The shooter’s disturbing manifesto revealed his twisted justification for the attack, claiming the Trump administration’s conduct was “not Christian behaviour.” Allen wrote: “Turning the other cheek when someone else is oppressed is not Christian behavior; it is complicity in the oppressor’s crimes.”
- Armed with a shotgun and handgun, the gunman specifically targeted “Administration officials” and said he chose buckshot “to minimize casualties.” An officer was shot but saved by his bulletproof vest.
- Allen, a teacher and CalTech graduate, had been a member of the university’s Christian fellowship. The 31-year-old described himself as a game developer, engineer, scientist and teacher on LinkedIn.
