Clarkson’s Farm star Harriet Cowan has claimed that Jeremy Clarkson missed a trick when she visited Diddly Squat with her father for the Cereals 2026 farming event
Harriet Cowan, one of the breakout stars of Clarkson’s Farm, has suggested that Jeremy Clarkson missed an opportunity when she visited Diddly Squat Farm with her father.
Harriet was at the farm with her dad for a well-known agricultural event taking place there, Cereals 2026. The event featured numerous stalls, attractions and food outlets for visitors to explore.
One of these areas was dubbed the Soil Hole, which examines “the science of regenerative agriculture” according to signage at the stand.
In a clip shared on her YouTube channel, Harriet, who stepped in as a temporary stand-in for Kaleb Cooper on Clarkson’s Farm last year, and her father jested that it ought to have been named Clarkson’s Hole instead.
She asked her dad: “What we found?” He replied: “Jeremy’s hole.”
Harriet added: “This should say Jeremy’s hole. He really missed a trick there.”
Harriet, 25, emerged as one of the standout personalities from Clarkson’s Farm and since her first appearance on the programme, she has established herself as a recognised figure in her own right.
Yet there have been consequences of this sudden fame for Harriet, who has acknowledged she needed to make certain adjustments to her life as a result, including leaving her full-time role as a nurse.
Speaking to Hello! about the experience when the programme aired and she suddenly found herself in the public eye, she explained: “When the show first came out, I turned my phone off for a while because I was like, ‘This is insane’…. I was being recognised by patients”
However, despite stepping away from nursing, she hasn’t completely closed the door on a potential return. She stated: “I’ve still got my PIN – I will keep that because I worked so hard to become a nurse.”
This isn’t the first time Harriet has opened up about her experiences working alongside Jeremy on the farm and featuring in the Amazon Prime Video series.
During an interview with Fed by Farmers podcast hosts Cammy Wilson and Iona, she reflected on her time on the show and shared her thoughts on what Jeremy is like off-camera.
She said: “He’s marmite isn’t he. I love that guy, I think he just doesn’t care which is great. He was like a father figure to me when I was there, he was really lovely.”
She also commended the influence of Jeremy’s work on farming and how it has helped improve inclusivity for women in the sector.
Harriet elaborated: “It’s a lot better than it ever has been. I think there’s certain things certain places certain people that they aren’t happy with it, and I think before like Clarkson’s people would be like she don’t have a clue.
“I don’t know if I’m the wrong person to comment on it because obviously people know what I can do off of the show. In one way that’s really good and then in another way, there’s like they’ve got a preconceived idea of what you’re gonna be like.”
