Whst is being called America’s ‘royal wedding’ is set to take place this weekend, with music megastar Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelce set to wed in New York. Here’s the inside scoop

Taylor Swift is set to tie the knot with Travis Kelce this weekend, with the ceremony reportedly taking place at the legendary New York venue, Madison Square Gardens (MSG).

Fresh photographs of deliveries arriving at the arena have hinted that the menu for the lavish two-day celebration might have been unveiled – and the pair seem to be blending upmarket cuisine with hearty favourites as lobster and chips are expected to be on offer.

Staff were photographed lugging crates into the venue, with labels indicating they contained lobster meat, along with various cuts of chicken including drumsticks, boneless portions, blackened varieties, and breasts.

Additional boxes filled with fried treats such as chips and chunky onion rings were spotted, while fresh ingredients including red and orange peppers, cos lettuce, eggs, double cream and full-fat milk were also witnessed being transported into MSG.

Krispy Kreme was also spotted reversing a lorry into the venue, though as there’s an outlet directly beneath the arena within Penn Station, it remains uncertain whether the doughnuts are connected to the nuptials, reports the Mirror.

Previously, Taylor Swift has been candid about her culinary tastes, revealing she adores baking homemade sourdough bread, and takes solace in classic American dishes. During her Vogue 73 Questions interview, Taylor discussed her passion for chips, explaining that her favourite drive-through order consists of a cheeseburger, chips, and a chocolate milkshake.

Travis has also expressed his fondness for straightforward American staples, revealing that he’s a fan of peanut butter and jelly (jam) sandwiches and has a soft spot for fast food favourites.

These aren’t the only items that have been spotted being delivered to the venue, with various other consignments offering fans a sneak peek into what might be on the cards for the grand celebration.

Insiders close to the wedding informed TMZ that a castle is being erected inside the arena to create a fairy-tale atmosphere for the nuptials. Crews were then seen unloading large, covered scenic pieces labelled “Garden Party 1 (Scenic)” and spray-painted “GP” outside the venue.

A red carpet was also laid near the garden’s VIP entrance, presumably in anticipation of the arrival of some of the biggest names in pop culture, including Graham Norton, Zoe Kravitz, Suki Waterhouse, Ed Sheeran, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco.

It remains uncertain whether these items, along with the food deliveries, are intended for use at the rehearsal dinner, rumoured to be happening on Thursday night, or the wedding ceremony itself, reportedly scheduled for Friday.

It’s believed that just 100 guests will attend the rehearsal dinner on Thursday, which Page Six reported will take place inside the Infosys Theater from 6 to 10:30 p. m.

Friday’s reception is rumoured to be a grand affair with 1,000 guests expected to attend. The festivities are reportedly set to begin in the early afternoon at 3:30pm, followed by a cocktail hour and the ceremony at 5:30pm.

The event is anticipated to wrap up at 2am.
