‘I’ve only had the red light face wand for 10 days. Already, I notice the ‘sag’ around my jawline is lessening. My cheeks are firmer and thinner.’

Light therapy has surged in popularity in recent years, emerging as a modern approach to skincare, sleep and sporting performance. A 2026 report from wellness company BON CHARGE, which surveyed more than 2,000 UK adults, found that over half have tried red light therapy or blue light-blocking technology.

Alongside claims that it can help reduce visible signs of ageing, it is also associated with improved sleep quality and faster muscle recovery. According to BON CHARGE data, 36% of participants reported better-looking skin, while 27% noticed improvements in muscle and joint comfort, and 26% experienced enhanced sleep.

Blue light-blocking devices were also highlighted for their impact on rest and recovery. Nearly a quarter of respondents said these products helped improve their sleep quality.

BON CHARGE launches sitewide Mid-Year Sale with 30% off on June 30th and 25% off the rest of July for premium beauty, sleep and recovery essentials.

One product BON CHARGE features is the mini PEMF Mat, available for £224.25, down from £299. It transmits magnetic energy into the body to assist with better sleep, increased energy and focus.

Several customers have shared how significantly it has helped improve sleep quality. One woman explained: “I’ve had this mat for a few weeks now and have noticed an improvement in the quality of my sleep. Being in my 60s, sleep has become difficult for me as I wake up very early and cannot get back to sleep.

“Since using the mat, I’ve been able to go back to sleep or not wake at all until morning. This is a huge win for me. I really like this company for their quality products and customer service.”

There’s also the BON CHARGE Infrared PEMP Mat Demi – reduced to £449.25 from £599, and using the mat couldn’t be simpler as it can be positioned on the floor while lying down, perhaps during yoga, on the sofa while relaxing, or on an office chair while working.

One buyer left five-star feedback stating: “We purchased the product to aid with recovery and grounding. After only a few days, the benefits could be measured by increased energy, more focused thoughts, and increased brain cognition. This product is a game-changer and life-changing for anyone looking to take the next step to greatness.”

However, someone did mention: “The only negative is the loudness of the beeping when you change settings.”

The BON CHARGE Red Light Face Wand, now £74.99 down from £99.99, promises to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, lifting and sculpting through a blend of bio-microelectronics, heat, sonic vibrations, red and near infrared light. Thrilled with the outcomes from this award-winning beauty gadget, one user commented: “I wasn’t sure what to expect as this was my first device to use on my face and neck.”

They added: “I was developing that waddle under my chin as I am ageing and this little wand is tightening it up! I’m shocked. Plus, it’s just relaxing to use it on my face.”

A second reviewer penned: “I only had the red light face wand for 10 days now. Already, I notice the ‘sag’ around my jawline is lessening. My cheeks are firmer and thinner. The lines around my mouth and eyes are much less defined. Bumps are being reduced. Cheeks have a healthy glow as if I walked outside every day.

“I also started three days ago using it on a varicose vein I have down the front of my right leg. After three uses of only a minute or two, the vein, which looked like a baby snake, is shrinking.”

One three-star assessment simply states: “It is ok so far – have yet to see results.”

Customer feedback also suggests the gadget works brilliantly for hands as well. One person shared: “My face looks and feels more toned after use. Great little travel companion for looking my best. I use it on the topside of hands also, keeping them looking younger, too! Next purchase will be the mask, can’t wait!”

At Boots, the BEAUTYPRO LED Wand (£65) serves as an alternative device that utilises red light to help smooth fine lines, reduce puffiness and enhance firmness. Blue light assists in killing bacteria and clearing up blemishes.

For a hands-free alternative, the STYLEPRO LED Face Mask is available at Superdrug for £79.99, reduced from £99.99. This gadget employs red (633nm) and blue (415nm) LED light and attaches to the face.

The BON CHARGE Red Light Face Mask has also been reduced, from £275 to £206.25.

The BON CHARGE Red Light Toothbrush represents another leading option for achieving a healthier smile and stronger gums. Currently £111.75, marked down from £149, it features four bespoke modes, blending sonic vibration with red (660nm) and near infrared (830nm) light.

It has earned a 4.9 out of five rating from 20 customers. Endorsed by dentists, one user said: “My husband and I have each had two dental cleanings since using this toothbrush and our hygienists remark on the excellent condition of our gums and the cleanliness of our teeth.”

Another customer praised the whitening effect of their teeth, stating: “This toothbrush is the best, my teeth are getting whiter.”
