Emmerdale spoilers reveal Dr. Caitlin Todd’s next move as she sets her sights on a new target in upcoming ITV episodes

Emmerdale has revealed Dr Todd’s latest target following the arrival of baby Leyla.

As viewers of the ITV soap will recall, Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) has been tormenting trainee Jacob Sugden (Joe-Warren Plant) and making his existence unbearable.

Jacob eventually reached breaking point earlier this week and lodged a formal complaint with HR, but simultaneously, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) went into labour while trapped in a hospital lift alongside Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) and Ross Barton (Mike Parr), who delivered the infant.

Charity had agreed to act as a surrogate for her granddaughter, Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), and her spouse, Jacob. However, after a brief encounter with Ross, Charity became pregnant, and only Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) and Ross are aware of the baby’s parentage.

Nevertheless, after rescuing Charity’s life, it was Dr Todd who exposed the scandal on Wednesday (April 22) when she eavesdropped on Ross and Chas rowing about the baby while positioned outside the hospital, reports the Express.

Todd wasted no time revealing to Charity that she knew Jacob wasn’t Leyla’s father, attributing it to incompatible blood types.

Charity was left stunned and attempted to conceal her tracks, but Todd ensured she understood Charity was deceiving her and confirmed that neither Sarah nor Jacob is the biological parent of the child.

Before the confrontation could escalate further, Mackenzie disrupted their discussion, leaving Charity distressed. In upcoming episodes, Jacob and Sarah spend quality time with Leyla, while best mates Ross and Mackenzie arrive bearing a gift for the newborn from Moses, who happens to be Leyla’s sibling.

It’s clear that Ross feels uncomfortable around the infant and hesitant to cradle her, though Jacob persists in welcoming him and Moses to their family celebration.

At the workplace, new father Jacob discovers working alongside Todd is more challenging than previously, while back in the village, Todd delights in her time with new flatmate Vanessa (Michelle Hardwick) and her mate Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker).

The trio bonds over beverages at The Woolpack when Mary (Louise Jameson) proposes a doubles darts competition and pairs Todd with Vanessa on the same side.

Throughout the game, Todd seizes the chance to launch another attack on Jacob and persists with her dreadful scheme to manipulate others’ perceptions of Jacob.
