Karoline Leavitt’s ‘last gaggle for some time’ as she’s ‘ready to have a baby any minute’

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is believed to have made her last appearance in front of the media for “some time” as the she stated she will be soon beginning maternity leave

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is expected to take some time away from the answering questions on behalf of US President Donald Trump as she appeared to announce she is starting maternity leave.

Leavitt, 28, is currently pregnant with her second child and told reporters today (April 24) would likely be her “last gaggle for some time”. The White House press secretary, who has one son and is married to real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, added she is “ready to have a baby any minute”,

She also joked “that all of you have the president’s phone number personally” while she will be away from the White House.

Speaking to the media about a variety of topics, from Trump to the Iran conflict, Leavitt then addressed them to see this may be the last time she will be seen before the birth of her child.

Leavitt said: “This will likely be my last gaggle for some time.” As you can see, I’m about ready to have a baby any minute, so I’ll see you guys very soon.”

“I know all of you have the president’s phone number personally, so I have no doubt that you will have a shortage of statements and news from this building while I’m gone.”

According to POLITICO White House Bureau Chief Dasha Burns, no official replacement for Leavitt has been named with plans for various officials to cover her responsibilities on a rotation.
