Eurovision 2026 UK act Look Mum No Computer, real name Sam Battle, has broken his silence after finishing bottom of the grand final in Vienna.

Look Mum No Computer has finally spoken out after his heartbreaking defeat at Eurovision.

The artist graced the stage in Vienna, Austria, on Saturday night for the Song Contest’s Grand Final.

Regrettably, Look Mum No Computer, also known as Sam Battle, only managed to secure a single point from the jury, and none from the public vote following his performance of Eins, Zwei, Drei.

He has now addressed his loss in a social media post, where he expressed his support for Eurovision 2026 winner, Bulgaria’s act Dara, who performed Bangaranga.

Battle said: “Bulgaria honestly deserved winner! Met a lot of amazing folk the most important thing is we all tried our hardest. Regardless of what is against us. Whatever it may be. Gotta keep trying your hardest regardless of the f****** outcome!!!”, reports the Express.

His fans showered him with support, with one commenting: “What an amazing experience. I loved seeing you compete.”

Another wrote: “Well done Sam you were absolutely fantastic. Thank you!”

“You did us all proud great experience!” a third fan penned, while another added: “Best 1 point evaaaaa!!!!”

Battle had been hoping to become the first British entry to win since 1997, and prior to the competition, told the BBC: “It could go well or completely wrong – I’m just here for the ride.”

He added: “Watching the semi-finals yesterday I thought, maybe we’ve got something a bit different.

“What we’re doing is Marmite – you either love it or hate it – but I think there’s a slot open for our sort of thing.

“I always say to expect nothing,” he continued. “Because if you expect nothing, you lose nothing.

“And anyway, after Saturday night’s over, I’m getting straight on the plane and going back to nappy changing duties.”

Eurovision 2026 was held in Vienna after Austrian singer JJ won last year, where it was held in Basel, Switzerland, with the UK’s Remember Monday coming in 19th place with 88 points after performing What The Hell Just Happened?

The Song Contest, which held the theme ‘United by Music – in the Heart of Europe’, had been mired in controversy, with a number of countries withdrawing their applicants and boycotting over Israel’s participation.

Following Bulgaria pop star Dara’s win, topping both the public and the jury vote and beating Israel, she said: “I want to thank everybody who felt the Bangaranga and felt connected to the force.”

Eurovision is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
