Pep Guardiola’s jaw-dropping daughter Maria has seen her Instagram post hijacked by Manchester City fans after news her father is set to leave the club.

Guardiola took charge at the Etihad Stadium in 2016, and a decade after his arrival he now look set to leave according to various reports. With news breaking on his departure, some City fans took to social media to plead with Maria.

A couple of hours before the bombshell news broke, Maria had uploaded a short video to social media, wearing a red top and slim-fitting jeans, with the caption: “this tan sooonnnnnn,” with a couple of emojis.

“Tell your father to stay for one more season,” one fan joked. While a second said: “Please tell your Dad, @pepteam to stay for one more year!”

“Tell your dad to stay at Manchester City please,” a third begged. As a fourth shared: “C’mon…He can’t be leaving!”

And another added: “Hello miss, I just want to say thank you to you and your father, however could you please beg him on behalf of @mancity to stay at least one year?”

Maria has become somewhat of a fixture at City matches this season, and she “stole the show” during their Premier League clash with Liverpool.

She is based in the UK these days a model, and the Spanish beauty has 875,000 followers on Instagram and regularly documents her life in Manchester, London, and back home in Spain.

Maria recently admitted that moving abroad due to her father’s career has been tough on the family.

She told Vanity Fair: “Moving so frequently gave me a great deal of self-confidence, which I don’t think I could have gained in any other way at such a young age. I also fondly remember that sport was a big part of my childhood.

“Following my father around the world to watch matches created special memories and brought the family very close together.”
