A recent survey conducted on members of an adultery dating site found that Britain’s cheats think Reform are the sexiest party, while fewer than 1% admitted to having the hots for Sir Keir Starmer
From dealing with the aftermath of arson attacks to witnessing the rise of potential rival Andy Burnham, Keir Starmer is having a tough time at the moment. The last thing the beleaguered PM probably wants to hear is that British adulterers would rather get into bed with Nigel Farage and Richard Tice than him.
However, in what is no doubt devastating news for poor old Starmer, not only is that absolutely the case, but so few cheaters were willing to admit they took a fancy to the Labour leader that he was relegated to the “other” category in the results of a recent poll.
The poll, conducted by dating site Illicit Encounters on the site’s many members, saw millionaire former property tycoon and debt consultant turned Reform MP Richard Tice come out on top of the sexy politician charts.
However, the the 61-year-old’s impressive showing may prove awkward for Tice considering the man he has dethroned is Reform’s leader Nigel Farage, who slipped down to second place.
Reform UK has also overtaken Labour to become the sexiest party according to Illicit Encounters members, a website that encourages its members to pursue extramarital and often adulterous relationships.
For those wondering what Farage, Tice and co have going for them in the eyes of Britain’s unfaithful, a spokesperson for the dating sight gave their explanation.
According to Jessica Leoni, “our members clearly have a type, and that type is a self-made, straight-talking man who isn’t afraid to cause a scene”.
Whether privately educated Nigel Farage – whose dad was a stock broker – or, privately educated former property developer Richard Tice – whose dad was a property developer and whose granddad was a property developer – count as self-made is neither here nor there, but the Reform duo will no doubt be touched to hear about their popularity with this particular demographic.
Coming in just below Tice and Farage is Tory MP Chris Philp, with the Shadow Home Secretary clearly something of a dark horse in the eyes of UK cheats.
Jessica Leoni said: “Chris Philp’s surge into third is the real eyebrow-raiser – quiet and under the radar he may have seemed, but our members have clearly been paying close attention.”
As for Starmer, his fewer than 1% sexy rating in this particular poll will no doubt be added to the ever-growing pile of disappointing data relating to the PM.
Among female politicians, Kemi Badenoch storms to the top for the first time, claiming a whopping 24% of the vote.
She is joined by a strong Conservative showing, with Katie Lam making a striking debut in second place (16%) – displacing last year’s winner Angela Rayner, who drops out of the top ten entirely.
Reform’s Suella Braverman makes a striking entry at third (14%), whilst Sarah Pochin (13%) and Dr Rosena Allin-Khan (10%) round out the top five.
